Trauma Treatment

I am passionate about helping people overcome PTSD and trauma-related concerns. I am a trauma-informed therapist, meaning I pay attention to ways that traumatic experiences big and small may impact your brain, nervous system, body, emotions, and thoughts. These experiences may lead to excessive worry, fear, avoidance, and survival mechanisms.

I am trained in the following effective and evidenced-based trauma treatments:

  • Clinical Application of Polyvagal Theory

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

  • Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE)

  • Trauma Focused-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (TF-ACT)

  • Mind-Body Medicine Interventions

I specialize in helping individuals cope with traumatic events including, but not limited to, medical trauma and loss (e.g., psychological and physiological responses to pain, injury, and serious illnesses), interpersonal trauma, sexual and physical assault, domestic violence, and childhood abuse.

Therapy can help you gain tools and strategies to foster safety in the body and world around you, identify activating events, and develop healthy coping skills for trauma symptoms. We will reduce avoidance patterns and help make new meaning of traumatic events.
