Meet Dr. Ashley Gulden
Dr. Ashley Gulden, PsyD, LP
Hi, thank you for your interest, and I look forward to meeting you! I am a Licensed Counseling Psychologist and a PSYPACT telehealth provider. I use a broad range of evidence-based, culturally-informed practices to create safe, authentic relationships with my clients. Collaborating with clients and being alongside them during the most difficult times in our lives is an incredible honor. It is my hope that when we work together, you feel less alone as you navigate stressors in your life.
In addition to building a solid therapeutic relationship, I see the autonomic nervous system at the heart of our experience. Together, wherever you are on your journey, we will learn skills to cope, find your inner strength, and overcome challenges to help you to make changes you are seeking in your life that contribute to a healthy mind and body.
I am a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. I am currently accepting new clients.
My Approach
In most of my work, I integrate the clinical application of Polyvagal Theory, developed by Stephen Porges and Deb Dana, which offers a guide to the inner workings of the autonomic nervous system and strategies for working with it. We will explore the role of the vagus nerve in emotion regulation, social connection, and fear/stress response as it relates to health challenges, grief/loss, challenges with parenting, depression, anxiety, and/or trauma.
Additionally, I am experienced at integrating principles and interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mind-Body Interventions. I personalize the therapeutic approach to individual needs using evidence-based approaches. My hope is that the therapeutic experience is a catalyst for change, creating space to nurture your resilience and learning skills to take with you on your journey toward a healthier mind, body, balance, and wholeness.
